This is a stunning butter dish with a double (bain marie type) dishes underneath the lid. The bottom dish is to be filled with warm water (to keep the butter soft and spreadable) and the top dish for the butter itself.
The butter dish is solid and heavy and elegantly simple in design.
The item is not marked or stamped.
Very little plate loss on this item, however it does require a very good polishing to bring it back to its original beauty.
