The Yeoman of England Company was founded in 1897 in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire and is a division of Douglass Pell Silverware, providing giftware to Harrods and Tableware as well as giftware to Asprey & Garrard, Royal Palaces, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason and Goldsmiths. This is a vintage silver plated butter dish manufactured during the 1970’s and designed with a beaded repousse craft rim flared beautifully out from the circular centre, which has been graduated. The item comes with its original domed lid topped by a white Bakelite deco finial. A removable, frosted glass dish with a sunburst cut pattern underneath, complete this attractive item.
The dish is stamped underneath: Yeoman Plate, EPNS, Made in England.
Although some plate loss has occurred and there are some surface scratches and spots, the item is still in very good condition with no dents. The glass liner is in perfect condition.
