Hammer Brand was one of the trade names used by Porzellanfabrik Plankenhammer GMBH. The firm was founded in 1883 by Krug and by 1909 the firm was taken over by Eva Krug who renamed Porzellanfabrik Plankenhammer GMBH. The firm closed permanently in 1974 and its assets were purchased by Eduard Wittmann who continued production under a new name.
This item is a vintage fine porcelain open sugar bowl manufactured under the Bavarian Hammer Brand and designed with fluted sides and blue trim on the rim. A stunning and colourful floral bouquet pattern has been used on the sides of the bowl.
The bowl is stamped underneath Hammer Brand.
This bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no damages noted.
