Designed by Edward Raby in the 1940’s for Royal Doulton, this beautiful and attractive pattern was released as the “Raby Rose” pattern D5533 and proudly displays a garland of magnificent pink toned roses with rose buds and green leaves along the verge of each item along with gold trim to highlight the rims as well as the handle of the tea cup.
Edward Raby was employed as an artist at both Royal Worcester in the 1800’s and later Royal Doulton. He was born in 1863 and died inn the 940’s.
This lovely fine porcelain tea trio consists of the tea plate, saucer and matching tea cup, each decorated in the 940’s Raby Rose pattern.
Each item is stamped underneath – Made in England Royal Doulton England D5533.
Feint age related crazing exists as well as fading of the gold trim, however no chips or cracks.
