The Brighton pattern was released by Alfred Meakin, Tunstall and displays a lovely bright multi-coloured floral pattern with an embossed detail on a 18ct gold trimmed scalloped rim.
Alfred Meakin operated from 1875 at the Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries in Tunstall.
The item is a beautiful side plate / tea plate/ bread plate.
The plate is stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England.
The plate has some age related crazing as well as fading of the gold trim on the rim, aside from which it is in very good vintage condition.
