The Yeoman of England company was first established in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire in 1897 and is today a division of Douglas Pell Silverware. This item is a unique three piece (could possibly have been a 4 piece) silver plated butter dish manufactured pre 1950 by Yeoman of England Company under their Yeoman Plate trade name. The item consists of an oval shaped dish with a base and pierced motif on the longitudinal ends, together with an identical oval shaped dish with no base into which the based dish fits. The third item is a domed silver plated lid with empirical lid finial.
The dish with the base is impressed underneath Yeoman Plate EPNS, Made in England.
The dish has age related wear and loss of plate and it requires a good a polish. The glass inner is no longer present (which could possibly have been the fourth piece). Aside from the mentioned the dish is in very good usable vintage condition.
