G&E Rodd Pty Ltd. was founded in Melbourne in 1919 and by the 1930;s had become the leading firm of jewellery manufacturers in Australia. During the 1930’s the company expanded into silver table ware.
This set consists of 6 silver plated demitasse spoons each decorated in the Rodd company Gardenia design, which was released between the 1930’s and 1960’s.
The set comes in its original box with red felt inner lining.
The box is labelled and each spoon is handle-stamped EPNS A1 Gardenia.
Although the box is showing signs of ageing, the spoons appear unused.
