This mid-century drinkware collection features a set of vintage marigold carnival glass tumblers manufactured by the Jeannette Glass Company in their iconic "Cosmos" pattern.

The glasses feature a distinct amber-orange marigold tone with a shimmering, iridescent flash finish typical of vintage carnival glassware. The lustre catches the light to give off soft pink, silver, and gold reflections.  The "Cosmos" motif showcases stylized floral elements, featuring detailed frosted or silvered sunflower and palm-like fronds paired with pointed leaves cascading down the sides.  These are flat-base, straight-sided tumblers with a subtle optic panel structure running vertically down the interior, catching light reflections. They taper gently outward toward the rim and are commonly styled as water/lemonade tumblers.  The iridescent, flashed decoration is highly delicate. Modern dishwashers and harsh detergents will strip the metallic shine and white paint accents away.

These tumblers were originally sold as part of a refreshment setup alongside a matching large pour-spout pitcher.

Bases feature the moulded Jeannette triangle logo, factory production code 27H9, and individual mould cavity numbers 16, 24, 25, 27, and 37

The specific markings on the underside of the tumblers provide a fascinating glimpse into the automated glass manufacturing process of the mid-20th century. While many pieces from this era were completely unmarked, these precise stamps were used internally by the glass factory.

Here is what the code 27H9, the triangle, and numbers indicate:

These numbers are mould, shop, and cavity identifiers, rather than serial or model numbers.

A moulded triangle symbol or an uppercase "J" enclosed inside a triangle or square on the base is the official maker's mark for the Jeannette Glass Company.  When the "J" itself is faint or worn away due to mould degradation over time, the outer geometric shape (the triangle) remains visible.
