A unique pattern generally referred to as “pansies” designed and manufactured by Salisbury Fine Bone China Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, with pastel colour yellow, blue and pink pansies portrayed upon deep mist grey rococo band set against the crisp white of the fine porcelain.
Each of the thirteen items in this set are decorated in this rare Salisbury Bone China pattern and were manufactured between 1930 and 1940. This is a fabulous set of beautiful items, which are both elegant and inherently awesome when displayed on the table. The set consists of four complete tea trios as well as a matching biscuit plate.
Salisbury Fine Bone China began operating in 1927 and until 1949 was Salisbury China with the crown mark. In 1961 the company was taken over by Thomas Poole and was finally closed permanently in 1970.
Each item is stamped underneath Salisbury Fine Bone China Made in England and the cups are numbered 1037.
Slight rubbing of the gold trim has occurred with time, aside from which all the items are in very good vintage condition.
