Paragon China was introduced by the Star China Co in 1903 and moved to Longton later the same year for expansion. Herbert James Aynsley, John Gerrard Aynsley and William Illingworth were initially partners and Herbert was the son of the famous founder of John Aynsley & Sons and it is here that he had gained all the experience with which to begin Paragon China. In 1930 Paragon China became Paragon China Ltd. In 1960 the firm was taken over by Royal Albert. In 1972 Paragon became part of Royal Doulton. Many of the Paragon China patterns are used by Royal Albert.
The item is an absolutely stunning little tea-for-two set consisting of a small 2 cup tea pot, open sugar bowl, milk jug and two tea trios, consisting of a round tea plate, saucer and tea cup each. The set as mentioned is decorated with a soft pastel coloured rosebud garland and gold gilding on a crisp and glossy white background.

The set is almost perfect with no chips or cracks, however feint loss of the gold gilding in places.
