This is a pair of mid-century modernist candle holders featuring a striking architectural design. They are arranged as a graduated set with two distinct heights.
Each candle holder features a distinctive, tapering four-sided fin design that flares out sharply toward the base in an "X" or cross-shaped configuration. The clean, geometric lines are highly characteristic of space age or Brutalist mid-century decor.
They are constructed from metal with a reflective, polished silver or chrome finish. The surface exhibits a light vintage patina with some subtle tarnishing, oxidation, and age-related wear (please see pictures), giving them an authentic antique character.
The tops are finished with smooth, shallow bowl-shaped basins designed to catch wax and securely hold taper or pillar candles.
