This item consists of an improvised fine porcelain tea duo each with slightly different pattern and each with a different date of manufacture, although both manufactured by Tuscan Bone China and similar enough so as to appear matching.
The saucer was manufactured during the 1940’s and is decorated in Tuscan Bone China’s “Orleans” pattern, which depicts a gorgeous sky blue and golden tan scroll patterning in the rococo style along the rim together with interspersed brightly coloured floral bouquets. The rim is scalloped and decorated with gold trim while the centre of the saucer has a magnificent colourful floral bouquet framed in sky blue and golden tan swag.
The tea cup was manufactured directly after 1907 and is decorated in a similar fashion but with (what we believe is) Tuscan China’s “Bouquet” pattern. Prominent gold trim together with sky blue scroll patterns decorates the scalloped rim while colourful floral bouquets are used on the sides as well as on the inside.
The saucer is stamped underneath Tuscan Fine English Bone China Made in England Orleans. This mark was used in the 1940’s.
