Thomas Poole began manufacturing in 1880 at the Cobden Works in Longton and used the trade name and royal license – Royal Stafford China. In 1952 Thomas Poole partnered and became Thomas Poole and Gladstone China Ltd.
This is an antique fine porcelain tea duo, which consists of the tea cup and matching saucer. Each item is decorated in the green transferware Royal Rose pattern. This pattern has also been used by other porcelain manufacturers since the early 1900’s due to its popularity at the time.
The stamps underneath the saucers and cups are quite faded, but some are visible as Royal Stafford China England.
The items have age related fading in places on the gold trim as well as the pattern, but are in good condition.
