An antique (early 1900’s) silver plated Sheffield coffee pot #690. This particular design was registered in the late 1800’s as #690 and manufactured by a variety of silver plate manufacturers. The item is a silver plated coffee pot manufactured during the early 1900’s in Sheffield which was at the time home to some of the best silver plate manufacturers in the world.
The coffee pot has been designed with strikingly attractive vertical ribbed design, fluted along the broadened base then narrowing perceptibly as it widens again towards the rim. The item is fitted with a shortened closed spout and hinged lid atop which a ribbed black Bakelite finial is attached. A matching black Bakelite handle is attached with an art deco appearance.
The item is stamped underneath EPNS A1 Made in Sheffield England.
The coffee pot could use a polish and has slight plate loss in places.
