R H & S L Plant (Ltd) was manufacturers of porcelain at the Tuscan Works, Longton. c.1898 - 1966 In 1966 the holding company was acquired by Wedgwood and RH & SL Plant Ltd. was re-named "Royal Tuscan" and continued as a manufacturing unit of the Wedgwood Group. Early marks include the initials 'R H & S L P'. Marks post-1902, include the trade-name 'TUSCAN'.
The item is a beautiful Tuscan China tea trio consisting of the tea cup, saucer and the tea plate. The tea plate is squared and all the items are decorated in soft pastel flowers with green and brown ivy leaves as well as a cobble effect just beneath all the rims.
All three items are stamped underneath Plant Tuscan China Made in England.
Slight fading of the gold trim has occurred over time, but no cracks, chips or any other damages noted.
