A stunning and very old cruet stand manufactured by THOMAS WHITE Sheffield, active at 21 Westfield Terrace, Sheffield (1872-1891). Trade mark "The Squirrel". The set consists of a four footed stand with three tiny salt and pepper shakers, three ornate hanging condiment spoons, two crystal and silver plate holders, one being a shaker and the other a hinged lidded mustard pot with mustard spoon and two crystal condiment bowls, one tiny oval bowl and a larger oval bowl.
The cruet stand is stamped underneath with the Thomas White trademark T.W. in an oval shape.
The set is unpolished and has lost quite a bit of the silver plate. The larger oval bowl has been repaired which left a crack as well as a chip on the rim (please see picture). Aside from these flaws, and considering the age of this beautiful set it is in good antique condition.
Height of stand: 23 cm, Width of stand: 27 cm
