The Yeoman of England Company, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, first began manufacturing in 1897 and much later became a division of Douglas Pell Silverware, supplier to Harrods, Asprey & Garrard, Royal palaces, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason and Goldsmiths. The Yeoman cross mark stamped on each of these items is according to the silvercollection.it website one of the older (presumably the first) marks used by Yeoman of England.
This is a complete set in the original presentation case which consists of 12 superb silver plated apostle tea spoons, each stamped behind the bowl and not the handle, which is also the much earlier method. The presentation case is clad in black faux hide with a hinged lid and white satin liner. The base of the case is black velvet and the case has a pair of brass frontal clips.
The case has a Yeoman Plate label within the lid and each spoon is stamped Yeoman Plate, EPNS, Made in England followed by the cross mark.
The spoons may require a polishing, aside from which all 12 spoons are in perfect condition with no rust, damages or bents. The case is also in very good condition.
