Barratts of Staffordshire began manufacturing in 1943 as potters in Burslem. The combination in 1992 of Barratts with Royal Stafford China resulted in their name change to Royal Stafford.
These rare items are 3 porcelain dinner plates. The pattern was released by Barratts in both a turquoise blue variety as well as a reddish brown and this item has the turquoise blue variety. The pattern depicts turquoise blue panels with gold leaf swag and colourful floral bouquets along with blue trim and is considered popular and sought after.
Stamped underneath the plates Barratts of Staffordshire Ltd Balmoral England.
The one plate has some age related crazing and a repaired chip on the rim.
The second plate has less crazing and a chip underneath the rim, not visible from the top.
The third plate has much crazing and some discolouration. It also has a feint hairline on the bottom of the rim.
All the plates however is still in very usable condition.
