The Garden Rose / Bouquet Pattern was designed and manufactured by Johnson Bros. between 1935 and 1950 under their Windsor Ware range. It appears that this particular design was created for the USA market.
The pot is designed with an embossed rope edge rim and domed lid topped by an empirical finial. Both the pot and lid as well as the handle and spout are decorated in the Johnson Bros. “Garden Bouquet” floral pattern with a large rose being the dominant flower on the band of flowers and leaves.
Johnson Bros. began manufacturing in Hanley in 1883 and in 1968 joined the Wedgwood Group along with several other manufacturers. In 2004 Johnson Bros. manufacturing was transferred out of England.
The pot is stamped underneath Windsor Ware, Johnson Bros., England Reg US Pat Off, all decoration under the glaze, permanent & acid resisting colour, a genuine hand engraving..
