Pareek is a range of shaped porcelain tableware items designed and manufactured by Johnson Bros., Hanley from 1913 with a variety of patterns until the 1930’s. This particular platter is decorated in the rare Johnson Bros. Lombardy pattern which was released in the early 1920’s and discontinued at the beginning of the 1930’s. The crown used on the Johnson Bros. mark also changed after 1930.

The platter has been designed in an old scalloped style with a gold rope motif band adorning the rim. An attractive colourful combination of small blue, orange, yellow and pink flowers bloom against a gently yellowed background while the centre of the platter is white.

The item is stamped underneath Pareek Johnson Bros. England.

The item is in very good condition.
