This is a vintage Mid-Century Modern water jug, manufactured between the 1940s and 1950s. It is crafted from a light, translucent blush pink glass.
It features a cylindrical body that tapers slightly outward toward a wide rim and a small pouring spout. A smooth, matching pink glass C-shaped handle is attached to the upper side.
The upper half of the jug features a frosted surface texture decorated with several thin, horizontal gold bands. This "banded gilt" style was heavily popularized during the post-war hosting and cocktail boom.
The bottom section transitions back to a clear, glossy finish with thick, moulded horizontal ribs encircling the base.
The pitcher was created using a industrial factory mould rather than being hand-blown, which is standard for mass-marketed mid-century glassware.
These sets were widely produced by mid-century factories across Europe, the UK, and Australia, typically distributed with temporary paper labels rather than permanent maker's stamps.
In good vintage condition with age related wear, however no chips or cracks.
