Pareek is a range of shaped porcelain tableware items designed and manufactured by Johnson Bros., Hanley from 1913 with a variety of patterns until the 1930’s.
This tea trio consisting of a cup, saucer and tea plate is of the Johnson Bros. Pareek range and is beautifully decorated with a burgundy band on the edge of each item, gold bands, trim and swag and also a soft yellow band on each item. Each item is also adorned with a single pink rose with leaves and tiny flowers.
The tea plate and saucer are both stamped Pareek Johnson Bros England. The cup is impressed England.
Some age related crazing exists as well as fading of the gold trim and slight fading of the pattern on the saucer and tea plate. The tea cup has a 1 cm hairline from the rim down on the inside of the cup (please see picture).
