The Wellesley design and pattern is a name given to a number of Noritake Japan fine porcelain designs, which have all been discontinued.
This beautiful version of the Wellesley pattern is 6214 which was released by Noritake in 1961 and eventually discontinued in 1976. The 6214 version incorporates platinum trim on its rim, which immediately sets it apart. The pattern itself depicts a series of snow white flowers in gentle raised detail with aqua blue leaves and mild caramel colours used in highlight.
