The item has a strengthened rolled edge to ensure chip resistance, which is unique to the Olympia White Ware range. The body of the item is fully vitrified, which also grants the item a superb glaze durability as well as a heat and shock resistance. The White Ware range was designed and manufactured by Olympia Porcelain England to provide a hard wearing porcelain as well as being oven, microwave, dishwasher and freezer proof.
This is a solid and reasonably heavy item, which can be used in many different ways.
The item is stamped underneath Olympia Porcelain Vitrified BS 4034.
