The Windsor pattern was designed and released by E. Brain & Co Ltd under their Foley China trade name during the 1930’s in a blue, maroon and green variety. The popularity of the pattern ensured its continuation until approximately the period shortly after WW2. The pattern dislays green patterned panels with golden yellow scroll work around the verge all framing a colourful and prominent floral bouquet, The rims are scalloped and decorated with gold trim. Each set includes a fine porcelain tea plate and matching saucer, each in the Windsor green version.

Foley China was begun by Elijah Brain in 1885 when in partnership with AB Jones and W Hawker, he took over the business where he had then been employed (Robinson & Son). The factory was located in the district called Foley between Fenton & Longton. E Brain then traded under the name Robinson & Son until 1903 when the firm became E. Brain & Co. In 1958 E Brain & Co took over Coalport China and transferred the firm to theirs at Foley Works. In 1963 all production was continued under the Coalport name only.
