The item is a glossy ceramic pitcher painted in a pale mint green or blue colour. It features a bright orange beak that serves as the spout, cartoon-style black and white eyes, and a small handle at the back. A decorative wing section on its side has vibrant glazes of green, purple, and pink/magenta. The base of the pitcher also has an orange foot detail.
Items like these are often identified as a kookaburra or toucan model from Japan, likely dating to the mid-century (1940s-1950s).
Aside from crazing in the glaze, the pitcher is in good vintage condition.
