The item consist of a casserole stand and casserole dish. The casserole stand, manufactured in Sheffield under the “Universal Plate” trade name is oval in shape and designed with pierced metal sides, handles, a rolled rim and four bun feet.
The glass casserole dish , manufactured by Pyrex, England between the 1960’s and 1970’s is also oval in shape and has a solid rim and a pair of handles crafted on the longitudinal ends.
The silver plated casserole stand is impressed underneath on of the sides Universal. The Pyrex dish is marked underneath the handle 28A 197B and embossed underneath Pyrex Made in England.
Both the stand and dish has age related wear. The casserole stand requires polishing and has a few dents. The Pyrex dish has dulled with time and has a few surface scratches due to use. Aside from this, both the items are still in very good usable condition.
