This item is a larger version oval shaped vintage casserole dish stand manufactured under the Van Riebeeck Plate trade name. Although not much information is available concerning the use of this trade name, it is often also accompanied on certain items with BM Mounts which is generally a Canadian mark, but also possibly European.
The casserole dish stand is silver plated and decorated with pierced metal motif and repousse floral between each pierced portion. The stand has four ball feet and a pair of handles at the longitudinal ends.
The stand is stamped on the side Van Riebeeck Plate EPNS.
The item has mild patina requiring polishing, aside from which the item is in good condition with no other damages noted.
