A.E. Poston cutlers were established in Birmingham in 1930 and closed permanently in 1960. The firm used the trade names “Lonsdale Plate” during the 1930’s and 1940’s, “Chester Plate” during the late 1940’s until their closure in 1960.

The item is a part set which consists of five identical silver plated vintage soup spoons manufactured by A.E. Poston under their “Lonsdale Plate” trade name in Birmingham between the 1930’s and 1940’s. The spoons have been manufactured with the rare Fluenci handle design.

Each spoon is handle-stamped Postons Lonsdale Plate Made in England.

The spoons have feint surface scratches due to use, however is still in very good usable condition.
