The item is a very rare ceramic mint green shaving mug manufactured by Keele Street Pottery (KSP) between 1900 and the 1930’s. Keel Street Pottery began manufacturing in 1915 at Keele Street, Tunstall, and later at Meir Airport in Tunstall as part of the Staffordshire Potteries Group. Charles Bowers, Elijah Brookes, J.A. Robinson and H.W. Pitt founded the company together. The company ceased its own manufacturing in 1958.
The shaving mug is impressed underneath with KSP followed by a symbol and England.
The mug is in excellent condition.
