Chapmans Longton Ltd, Longton 1916- 1966, was a china manufacturer at the Albert Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Chapmans (Longton) Ltd were founded in 1916 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Thomas C. Wild & Sons. The business closed in 1966 when Allied English Potteries (who in 1964 had acquired the Wild companies) re-organised production.
The item is a beautiful Royal Standard tea trio consisting of the tea cup, saucer and the tea plate. The tea plate is squared and all the items are decorated in yellow blossoms with green and brown leaves. All the items are rounded off with gold trim on the rims, the tea cup handle as well as the tea cup base and on the inside of the tea cup.
All three items are stamped underneath Blossom Royal Standard Bone China England.
Slight fading of the gold trim has occurred on the rims and handle over time, but no cracks, chips or any other damages noted.
