Fritz Thomas founded the Porzellanfabrik Thomas & Ens in Marktredwitz in 1904 in the German Franconian region. Already in 1908 the firm was taken over by Rosenthal. In 1960 the production in Marktredwitz was discontinued. The new plant at Kulm in Speichersdorf was opened as a replacement. It is still under the roof of the Rosenthal Group.
Eva Striker Zeisel was a Hungarian-born American industrial designer known for her work with ceramics, primarily from the period after she immigrated to the United States. This beautiful tea set consists of a tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl. Both the tea pot and sugar bowl are lidded and all the items are classic Eva Zeisel designs.
All three items are stamped Thomas Germany and in addition the tea pot is stamped Eva Zeisel.
The set is in very good condition with no visible damages. .
