Designed by Arzberg’s artistic director Heinrich Loffelhardt, appointed in 1952 and winner of the gold medal at the Xth Triennale Milan, this floral pattern is bright and colourful along with gold trim on the rim of the saucer.
The range as designed by Loffelhardt was known as a free form fine porcelain range due to the designed shape with which each item was crafted. A careful and natural styled flow of the shapes imbued the series with elegance and grace while at the same time granting each an almost noble character and a beauty added by the patterning.
Arzberg was founded in Bavaria in 1887. Hutschenreuter AG has held the Arzberg trademark since 1972 but was dissolved in 2000 and taken over by SKV-Porzellan-Union which was renamed Arzberg-Porzellan in 2004. In 2014 the trademark was taken over by Rosenthal.
The saucer is stamped underneath Arzberg 353.
The saucer is in very good condition.
