During the 1940’s Pearson’s PLC purchased Colclough of Longton and with it the Royal Vale trade name which came with the official Royal approval. In 1952 Pearsons acquired Lawleys and thus owned the Adderley and Ridgway trade name. In 1957 the Pearson Juggernaut purchased Royal Albert, Paragon and Royal Crown Derby and thus by owning both Royal Albert as well as the Royal Vale trade name through Colclough, items were manufactured during this period which were identically patterned by both.

This vintage fine porcelain tea duo was manufactured under the Royal Vale trade name with the item being decorated in the lovely spring blossom pattern known as the “Aden” pattern witch was released by Royal Albert.

Both the tea cup and saucer are beautifully adorned with scalloped rims and the tea cup is fitted with a gold trim Victorian styled handle and pedestal base.

The tea cup is stamped underneath Bone China D3, Royal Vale Made in England A Product of Ridgway Potteries Ltd.

The saucer is stamped underneath Royal Vale Bone China Made in England.

Both the saucer and tea cup have lost the gold trim on the rims, but aside from this the duo is still beautiful with no other visible damages.

Saucer height: 2 cm, Diameter of base: 4.4 cm, Diameter of rim: 14 cm
