English romantic painter Joseph Turner (1775 – 1851) painted a series of beautiful and highly prized landscape paintings from the Devon area between the years 1811 and 1813, with many experts of art believing that he painted the series in a patriotic sub text as they were exhibited in the same year as the battle of Waterloo.
