E, Brain & Co. Ltd were manufacturers of porcelain at Foley Works, Fenton from circa 1903 to 1963. Elijah Brain took over the Foley China Works from Robinson & Son in 1885 but continued to use the mark of "Robinson & Son" until 1903 when they used their own mark.
The use of the name 'FOLEY' were extensively used on many different marks to 1963, with and without the initials 'E. B. & Co,' or the name in full.
E Brain & Co took over the business of Coalport China in 1958 and since 1963 production has continued under the Coalport name.
This set consists of a beautiful Foley biscuit plate a creamer and an open sugar bowl all in shades of pastel pink and green with a floral bouquet decorating each item and the creamer and sugar having hand painted dotted feet. All the items were rounded off with beautiful gold trim.

The gold trim on the items are faded due to age and the open sugar bowl has a visible hairline halfway down from the rim. Aside from the faded gold trim and the hairline on the sugar bowl, the items are in very good condition.
