Craftsman Pewter was a trade name used by Viners Of Sheffield between 1926 and 1939.
The item is a hammered metal pewter hot water pot with a hinged lid and black Bakelite finial. The item has a scroll handle with wrapped wicker and has been designed with the base tapering towards the rim.
The pot is impressed underneath Craftsman Sheffield Pewter.
It seems some of the wicker at the handle top has been broken off, but the rest of the wicker is still intact and has not come loose. The pot also has a very slight dent at the bottom of the handle on the base, but this is not visible. The pot also has a few surface scratches here and there, but is still in very good usable condition.
