Pareek is a range of shaped porcelain tableware items designed and manufactured by Johnson Bros., Hanley from 1913 with a variety of patterns until the 1930’s. This particular gravy boat and tray are both decorated in the rare Johnson Bros. Lombardy pattern which was released in the early 1920’s and discontinued at the beginning of the 1930’s. The crown used on the Johnson Bros. mark also changed after 1930.
The gravy boat and tray have been designed in an old scalloped style with a gold rope motif band adorning the rim. An attractive colourful combination of small blue, orange, yellow and pink flowers bloom against a gently yellowed background while the centre of the items are white.
The items are stamped underneath Pareek Johnson Bros. England.
The items are in very good condition.
