Manufactured between 1891 and 1906, a rare fine porcelain tea duo consisting of the saucer and the tea cup, each decorated in the Lattice pattern, a rust brown and black floral patterning in the Chinese style, which became popular during the period. The tea cup and saucer each have a scalloped rim with gold trim and the tea cup has been crafted with an art deco shaped handle.

The Stanley Pottery was founded by Charles Amison in 1889 and used the letters C.A. and L for Longton until 1916 when the firm became Charles Amison & Co. until 1930 aqfter which it became a Ltd. In 1951 the Amison family sold the business to Victor Wooldridge, Joseph Austin and H. Hulme from Floral China Co. Ltd. The business closed permanently in 1962 with the patterns and moulds purchased by Longton New Art Pottery Co. Ltd. By 1951 however, the Staffordshire Floral Bone China trade name had already been introduced to the firm marks.

Both saucer and tea cup stamped underneath Lattice Stanley China CA L.

The tea cup has very feint crazing and both the cup and saucer have fading of the gold trim. Aside from this they are both in very good condition, considering their age.
