This interesting pattern has often been compared to the Ming rose as well as Indian Tree in its general appearance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eJosiah Spode established a pottery at Stoke-on-Trent, England in 1770. In 1883 the firm was purchased by William Copeland and Thomas Garrett and the original Spode mark was changed to Copeland Spode. In 1847 Copeland became the sole owner and the mark changed again. W.T. Copeland \u0026amp; Sons continued until 1976 when a merger changed the title to Royal Worcester Spode.
